As part of International Surfing Day on Sunday June 20, the Hunter and Central Coast Branches of Surfrider Foundation Australia, along with our friends Take Three, Surfing Mums and Tangaroa Blue Ocean Care Society, with the support from AAMI and the amazing Tim Bonython, will be staging events at Avoca and in Newcastle.

3.00 pm – Beach Clean Up at South Newcastle – meet at the old Change Sheds
4.30 pm – Exhibition and Auction at Surf House Gallery – Hunter Street across from the old Post Office, nibbles and stuff … Proceeds from all purchases go to Surfrider.
6.00 pm – Cheap Eats, Acoustic set and Tim Bonython’s Films at Liquid Gold Café, across from Newcastle Beach – art/food available with proceeds going to Surfrider.
And of course there’ll be surfing!!! Surfing Mums Newcastle will meet (at the Winter time of 10am) at Newcastle Beach – conditions and weather pending.
